Nox is a small 12-micron 60Hz fully functional thermal weapon sight that can serve double duty as a head-mounted monocular or a scanner. This unique product is proudly designed and built in the USA, using the best commercially available BAE thermal imaging cores and the highest grade optical components. Nox is available in an 18mm or 35mm lens configuration, allowing for the best magnification and field of view combination, depending on your environment.

Nox can be user-configured for the right or left eye, dual-mounted with another Nox or with a night vision monocular, such as PVS-14. Weapon and/or dovetail mounts are removable to reduce the size and weight of the unit to help achieve optimal NOX configuration.

Power Supply Options
Each NOX ships with a standard CR123 battery and a rechargeable 18650 battery (and charger). Depending on ambient temperature, you can expect up to an hour and a half of run time with a standard CR123 battery and from four to seven plus hours on the rechargeable 18650 battery. For the ultimate power solution, Nox can be powered with an external USB battery bank via the provided USB-C cable.

User Interface
NOX has five highly ergonomic control buttons that permit immediate access to the frequently used functions (calibration, polarity, zoom, photo, power) and allow access to the user-friendly menu system for zeroing and/or customization of device parameters. This includes a standalone calibration button that provides the user with the ability to calibrate the unit with one hand in under one second.

First hunt impressions

Got unit. Didn’t have the coin. Included paperwork was ok but needed to find users manual on line to zero. Got unit mounted on an AR 10/308 with 16”barrel. Zeroed at 100 meters. No issues. Hitting targets out to 100 ok. Not happy with scope clarity at higher magnification. It was hard to find point of aim at 100m. Target was a steel contractor tape in a cross with middle open as aiming point. Used torch to heat up tape to show up on thermal. Needed higher mag to even see target 6x. 8 x was useless. Lesser mag was not good either. Clarity is lacking at 100 m and beyond than what I was expecting. Using retical 7. What distance drop are the gas marks? Ie at 200/300/400 meters?

I like the easy menu. Really easy to get through after review of user manual.

I love the zeta process. Very easy.

Will take out this weekend to work out Dope/aiming points on retical.

Ordered 2 additional batteries. Really like the rechargeable batteries. The included 123 battery did not last very long on my zero outing.

Shipping was great.

I am not fully done reviewing as I need to take it out more. But due to lacking clarity at 200 m in— I would not recommend this unit to someone looking to shoot past 100 meters with accuracy.

Great thermal, great service from SOK!

Strictly Offensive Kit answered all my questions and got the excellent thermal to me in time for a big hunt. The image is incredible! Sight in was intuitive without reading the manual and precise adjustments allow an exact zero (some thermals have coarse adjustments that only let you get a rough zero). I usually use the rechargeable battery (included) but I keep 123s around as backup since it can run on a single 123 battery. That’s a very handy feature. I’m thrilled so far!… the coyotes are not! Thanks SOK!
